Stop the War Coalition
President Obama’s recent reassertion of US primacy with his declaration that ‘America must always lead on the world stage’ appears to have set the US and China on collision course.
The international peace movement must be alert to the dangers. A conflict between the two powers, even a small one, could lead to a prolonged nuclear standoff which would have serious consequences for the global economy and delay the global abolition of nuclear weapons for decades.
