Peace Collective

On the 100th anniversary of the 1914 Christmas Truce, many of the UK’s biggest music stars united as The Peace Collective to record The Farm’s classic anti-war song All Together Now, including Suggs (Madness), Mick Jones (The Clash), Holly Johnson (Frankie goes to Hollywood), Englebert Humperdink, The Proclaimers, David Gray, The Sugarbabes, Gabrielle and many more.

All profits from the release will go to the British Red Cross and the Shorncliffe Trust.

Peter Hooton, singer with The Farm, says of his song All Together Now, which he wrote in 1990 to commemorate the 1914 Christmas truce in the first world war: “It’s about the working classes being sent to war. People across a divide who probably had more in common with each other than the people who had sent them to war in the first place.”
