Chris Nineham was violently arrested while acting as chief steward on 18 January national Palestine protest

Along with 77 others, vice chair of StWC Chris Nineham, was arrested on 18 January while acting as chief steward for the Palestine protest. The rally was held in response to the oppressive policing and arrests on 18 Jan.

Nineham said, the political elite was seeking to create “a new McCarthyism” by arresting Palestine activists, including himself and Ben Jamal, Director of PSC. He vowed the movement would not be silenced, but “was here to stay”.
