With hundreds of thousands already killed and injured in Ukraine, and the war sliding into a direct conflict between nuclear armed powers, it is imperative we do what we can to end the Ukraine war. The rapid escalation witnessed in the past week risks leading us headlong into an all-out war between Russia and NATO, it is time the politicians step back from the brink.
Yet our government seems once again to be sleepwalking us into into another world war. Thanks to Starmer’s desire to follow President Biden’s reckless action and permit British missiles to be fired by Ukraine into Russia, the war has entered a new and extremely dangerous phase.
Stop the War, along with CND, has called an emergency day of action on Saturday 7 December. Groups around the country will be organising local actions and for those in London we ask that you join our protest taking place outside Downing Street at 2.30pm on Saturday 7th December.
