Lewisham campaigners will rally outside Lewisham town hall before entering the council meeting to submit public questions. Despite newly adopted language by Lewisham’s pension investment committee to divest from weapons manufactures and companies responsible for human rights abuses, recent findings from the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, show that Lewisham has over £65 million invested in companies that are complicit in Israeli war crimes and illegal settlements.
For instance, Lewisham pension funds are invested in several Israeli banks that finance illegal settlements, and Palantir, a company that provides advanced AI tools to the Israeli military, enables Israel’s attacks on Palestinians. Join the demonstration in Lewisham on 5 March and get involved in the local LGPS divestment campaign.
