Please organise for the next workplace day of action on 13 February 2025. The horrors in Palestine and across the Middle East make it necessary for the trade union movement to do all it can to call on the UK government to end its support for Israel and its complicity in the ongoing genocide.
It is also vital that there’s a strong message about the importance of trade union membership in order to provide working people with protection if they face discrimination and disciplinary action at work for taking part in pro-Palestine protests and other actions.

Bristol:
Two events taking place at 1pm at Will Memorial Building and 1:45pm at Senate House, Tyndall Ave. Both events are demanding that the University of Bristol cut its ties with arms companies and complicity with the Israeli genocide.

Cambridge:
Protest Rally outside Great St Mary’s Church, Cambridge from 1pm – open to all.
Organised by UCU, Cambridge StW, Cambridge PSC & Cambridge 4 Palestine.
Hackney College:
Rally outside the front of the college (near the bus stop), 12:30pm – 2pm. Come for however long you can, open to all.
Led by Hackney College UCU.
Oxford:
Lunchtime March & Rally – Assemble at Clarendon Steps, Broad Street, OX1 3BG, 12:30pm – 13:30pm, open to all.
There will also be family friendly arts and crafts with Parents 4 Palestine and student groups are calling a walkout to participate in the rally.

Southampton:
Lunch time Street Stall taking place at the Junction of New Road & Above Bar, opposite Sprinkles, 12pm – 2pm.
The stall will have leaflets, flags and badges in support of Palestine. People will also be invited to sign a petition to local MP’s calling for a Permanent ceasefire; letting aid through; no arms to the Israeli government.
Tower Hamlets:
Lunch time rally at Tower Hamlets Town Hall, Whitechapel Road, E1 1BJ, 12:15pm – 1:15pm.

York St John’s University:
Readings from Mosab Abu Toha’s new book of poems, and we’ll hear updates from Gaza and the West Bank, urging vigilance and continued Palestine solidarity protests in the UK.
Taking place in Learning Room SK037, 2pm – 3:30pm – Wednesday 12th February 2025.
Led by UCU York St John’s and is open to all staff and students, regardless of union membership.
