To: The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak and the British Government
We, the undersigned, oppose the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad Bin Salman, to Britain later this year.
The visit is part of the British government’s efforts to support the Saudi regime, against the struggles for freedom in the Gulf. This involves supporting a regime which dismembered Jamal Khashoggi in its Turkish embassy, and regularly executes political opponents. It involves supporting the siege, occupation and war against Yemen. It involves supporting repression of the popular struggle for democracy and human rights in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. It involves supporting the Saudi regime in suppressing independent political activity by the population of Saudi Arabia.
We are therefore committed to protests before and during the visit. We demand an end to British government complicity in war and repression in the Gulf.
